Yale School of Medicine

Samira Saedi is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and neuroscientist whose work is driven by a passion for integrating neuroscience, art, and computational methods. Accompanied by a lifelong interest in music and creative expression, she explores the intersections of brain function, behavior, and therapeutic interventions. She earned her D.V.M. from Azad University, Tehran, and is currently a Postdoctoral Associate at Yale University’s Department of Psychiatry, where she conducts research on mitochondrial transplantation, neural mechanisms of psychoactive substances, and the influence of music and environmental stimuli on brain function. Her multidisciplinary approach combines human and rodent models with computational methods to better understand neural circuits and develop potential interventions for neurological and psychiatric conditions.
