
Shivani is a Postgraduate Research Associate at the AZA Lab, where she works at the intersection of neuroscience, behaviour, and the therapeutic impact of music. Her research interests include mental health, health justice, community-based wellness, and the health impacts of climate change.
She holds an MPH from the Yale School of Public Health and a BA in Psychology from Yale-NUS College in Singapore, with additional training in medical anthropology from SOAS, University of London. Shivani has presented her work at international conferences such as HBES 2024 and IACM 2024, and is a recipient of the H. L. Kwee Scholarship.
In addition to her research, she has experience in science communication and mental health advocacy through writing, social media, and community outreach. Outside of academia, Shivani is a trained Indian Classical vocalist, songwriter, and aspiring music producer.
